My latest additions...

I finally got a copy of the Random Esoteric Creature Generator - For Classic Fantasy Role-Playing Games and Their Modern Simulacra, along with Spellcraft & Swordplay. I was really excited about getting both in the mail, and hope to put them both to good use. So my first experiment was an ape-like creature with a shimmering fur. So, I give you the Shimmerapes for the Spellcraft & Swordplay rules....

Basic Body Shape: Biped
Basic Type: Mammal (Ape)
Size: Large (+1HD)
Basic Movement: Ape-like (Running / Climbing)
Attack Methods: Horn (charges headlong into foes)
Distinctive Features: Shimmering body (oily fur reflects light)
Motivation: Territorial

HD: 3
AC: 2
MV: 12”
ATK: Horn
DMG: 1d6

Large ape-like creatures covered in a slick oily fur, Shimmerapes have a single large horn protruding from their foreheads. They use these horns in combat by lowering their head and charging their foes. The slick oily fur causes light to shift slightly giving the apes a shimmering appearance (like an oil-slick puddle).

Good times.

  1. Cool! Are you going to use the generator to make some new oriental type monsters for your far eastern S&W project? Is it possible to use the product to do something like that?

  2. Wow, I hadn't even thought about that. But hell yes, I will. Should work just fine. Thanks for the kick in the pants. :)

  3. Excellent. I hope to read about the results!
