April blogging challenge... from A to Z.

John over at The Nine and Thirty Kingdoms blog posted a link to this blogging challenge for April. The challenge (found here) is to post from A to Z everyday in April except for Sundays. I think I will accept the challenge and use it to develop my Ancient Under-City of Ugarit setting. I have been very slack at updating my blog recently and I hope this will kick-start me into posting more frequently.

So I have started shaping some ideas for topics for this challenge, of course these are subject to change between now and the posting dates in April. Here are some of the topics I am considering so far....

  • A : Armor
  • B : Barbarians
  • C : Cults
  • D : Dogs
  • E :
  • F :
  • G : Gods
  • H : Healing
  • I :
  • J :
  • K :
  • L :
  • M : Maps
  • N :
  • O : Orbs
  • P : Portals
  • Q :
  • R :
  • S :
  • T :
  • U : Ugarit the grand city
  • V :
  • W :
  • X :
  • Y :
  • Z :
So stay tuned for an April full of Ugarit goodness.

  1. Glad to see I'm not the only one doing a campaign-themed challenge:

  2. I like your list - I was the Dungeon Master for many a campaign. Glad you're part of the Challenge. I'm one of the co-hosts, so if you have any questions, just holler.

  3. Thanks Alex. The only question I have is to ask myself what possessed me to agree to such madness. :-)

  5. T could be for "tablets," since the Ugaritic archives are so important. Or you could put it under L for library, if you need T for temple or treasury or something else.

You could conflate Yam-Dagon to have an evil cult in the city. (Mot also appears in the Baal cycle.) But maybe this kind of stuff will go under Gods.

    Q - Quarters?

Anyway, I look forward to it with interest!

  9. I am doing this as well, and I must say, coming up with certain letters is hard... on the other hand, anything that forces more blogging is good. I just hope I can keep up. Both with what I am "supposed" to post, and with everyone elses output.
